Pamela has worked as an artist, a professional tarot reader and is a registered massage therapist. She is a member of the American Tarot Association, Tarot Professionals, and Tarot Canada. She began showing art professionally in the mid 1980's and has successfully continued in the art business.
Nearly five decades of art experience and over 35 years tarot reading experience has produced a blending of old-school tarot and new-age attitude resulting in a user-friendly extended tarot deck designed for beginning and experienced readers. Developing from a traditional base, Pamela has taken tarot reading to the next level with additional Minor and Major Arcana included to produce an 88-card deck, Steele Wizard Tarot. Her vivid images reveal layers of meaning within each card while triggering the reader’s intuitive process to reach beyond pat meanings and into deeper realizations.
A strong belief in self-empowerment and self-mastery is the foundation of this tarot. A lifetime of experience has given her the knowledge we each have the ability to recreate ourselves with passion and intent. Pamela’s use of tarot for this purpose has given her the opportunity explore her own self-truths and assist others in discovering their truths.
She released a series of e-books for children featuring the Wizard's Pets which were first created in 1984. Recently she completed a tarot for children using the Wizard's Pets characters which will include a 78-page coloring book, a small borderless deck and an illustrated companion book. Plus the art for the deck will become the story board for the Wizard's Pets Tarot Adventure video game.
Pamela's life-long love affair with rocks has become an extensive collections that adorns her home and office. The Steele Wizard images show many of the characters wearing pendants or holding various stones that enhance the meanings of the cards. She uses a wide variety of healing stones in her work as a massage therapist as well as surrounding her work areas with crystals and stones that enhance and delight the senses.
Her hobbies include, but are not limited to, web design, rock collecting, belly dancing, and costuming. An adventurous spirit prompted her to join a jousting troop as a member of the ground crew at age 53 and take belly dance lessons at age 54. She is currently the advisor to the local medieval faire she helped start over 10 years ago as well as a regular attendant at SF BATS and a featured guest reader at the Rocktober Fest hosted by the Silver Cove from Rock to Gem.
Pamela has two sons, two granddaughters and one grandson. She lives with her friend, partner, and most significant other, Brian and 2 Manx cats...Mouse and Boo!
Both of Pamela's decks are available through Devera Publishing:
